There is a section in the Bible with the seemingly benign name of Kings. In truth, it is one of the most provocative sections of Scripture, delving as it does into the lives of the kings of old and their relationship with the living God and His prophets. Throughout its narrative, you find the unfolding drama of God's desire to see men and women get back on spiritual track - to sort out their lives. Some did; some didn't, but in their story we find our own, and the nature of God's leading to return to Him in fullness from wherever we may have wandered.
