Missio Dei. Sounds strange to our ears, doesn't it. That’s because it’s Latin for the "sending of God." The God of the universe is a sending God, which means that whatever mission there is for our life comes from the very nature of God. God is initiating His mission for this world. He sent His Son, Jesus, and He also sends us. In Missio Dei James Emery White explores the sending activity of God as it relates to the meaning of our lives and our place in this world through the use of four Latin terms used throughout history to speak of the deepest understandings of God's purpose for our lives.
