For decades, churches have offered day camps for kids called vacation Bible schools — often known by their acronym, VBS. Now they're adapting to changing dynamics of family life and religious participation. Rather than recruiting volunteers from the congregation to run vacation Bible school, Mt. Eric Liddell’s Legacy Still Tracks, 100 Years Later

Women’s bout involving failed gender test fighter ends in 46 seconds

Two blows to the chin from a fighter who failed a gender test and Angela Carini decided she could no longer continue. Only 46 seconds into her opening Olympic contest here at the North Paris Arena, the Italian abandoned the fight, refusing to congratulate Algeria’s Imane Khelif and sinking to her knees in the centre of the ring.
